Whatever age you are now, you are the sum total of all the events that have happened to you in your life. All the choices you have made. Everything anyone has said to you. All the books you’ve read, the plays you’ve seen, the games you’ve played, the people you’ve met. Everything has had an impact and everything is now a part of who you are.

It’s like those photo mosaic pictures. The image is recognisable at a distance but it is made up of hundreds of different, unrelated photographs.

I was having a play with a software program to create just such an image.

I started out with my picture:

Which I then converted into a mosaic. This version has been reduced to one sixteenth of the original size in order that it can be viewed on the web.

This next image is the actual size of the mosaic but just showing a small section where the background meets my hair.

And this section is my right eye!

As you can see, there are hundreds of different images that go to make up the whole picture. And in much the same way there are hundreds of different occurrences in your life that have gone to make up the unique individual that is you.

More importantly - that’s just a snapshot of you, today. Tomorrow you will have increased the number of people you’ve met, places you’ve seen or choices you’ve made… And you will be a different person.

This is such an exciting fact. It means that however bad your life may seem to be right now, you can change it.

• You can create the tomorrows that will support you and encourage you in your life.
• You can seek out people and places that will nurture you and help you to grow.
• You can make different choices and live a different life.

That can seem a little daunting at first sight but that’s where a coach can be very useful. A coach will help you to discover new choices. A coach will help you to define your ideal outcomes. A coach will encourage you to take action to make your ideal life a reality.
